World Science Day for Peace and Development

Tuesday,, November 10,marks World Science Day for Peace and Development. The idea of an international holiday was proposed in 1999 at the World Science Forum in Budapest, where the need for more active interaction between society and science was emphasized.
In 2001 the General Conference of UNESCO officially established World Science Day, and in 2002 it was celebrated for the first time on a global scale.
