System "Mobile applications for travel services"

Implementation of electronic services related to tourism: creation of a web portal and a mobile application. The system is designed for all users who are interested in the city of Nizhyn, its history and modernity.

Purpose and objectives of the project:
The project is developed within the framework of the project "Community-Based Local Development III" component "Smart Cities" in cooperation with the EU UNDP and Nizhyn City Council. Nizhyn.
To achieve this goal, it is proposed to implement a software package that will allow citizens of the city and its guests:

  • View information about the local culture and history of Nizhyn;
  • View text and multimedia materials that describe the city's historical and cultural sites.
  • See the location of all the city's architectural and cultural landmarks on the map.
  • Listen to audio information about Nizhyn in different languages.

Areas of project activity>

  • development of technical documentation for SMDOTP;
  • launch of server equipment and deployment of the Unified SMDOTP database;
  • development of SMDOTP information portal;
  • Develop a map of the city's cultural sites;
  • entering information content into the Unified Database;
  • development of the SMDOTP mobile application;
  • Set QR codes near the city's cultural sites.

Results:

  • "Information portal. Nizhyn tourist ", posted at the link https://nizhyn-travel.com.ua/,designed to display text, graphic and audio information about the history of the city of Nizhyn, its cultural sites and attractions, news, memorable dates, and other information intended for users interested in tourist services of the city of Nizhyn.
  • "Mobile application. Nizhyn Tourist ", developed for Android and placed in the catalog of Google Play applications, which complements the functionality of the" Information Portal "with the ability of the QR-scanner to read QR-codes and navigate the map of cultural sites of the city based on user location.
  • Signs with QR-codes, which are installed near the cultural objects of the city to ensure the process of receiving mobile services.

The source of funding for the works is European Union funding for the Joint European Union Project and the United Nations Development Program.
