The project “Development of an intelligent monitoring geoinformation platform for territorial communities affected by armed conflict and man-made disasters” is being implemented with funding from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 09.01.2026 No. 23 “On approval of the list of projects of fundamental scientific research, applied scientific research and research projects containing information with restricted access, the performers of which are higher education institutions and scientific institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which have passed the competitive selection and the financing of which will begin in 2026 at the expense of the State Budget of Ukraine", state registration number: 0126U001541).The expected results of the project can be characterized as:
- increasing the level of awareness of the population about the localization of dangerous objects and phenomena to ensure individual safety;
- increasing the informativeness of operational interactive interaction of residents of the territories with the relevant bodies of the State Emergency Service, the national police and local authorities in the event of the detection of dangerous, destroyed, degraded objects, phenomena, territories;
- implementation of information and analytical geoinformation services among territorial communities on a free basis;
- directing the activities of management structures towards a nature-oriented attitude towards territories, ecological balance and climate adaptation of territorial communities;
- increasing the level and validity of management decisions to ensure safe, nature-oriented and sustainable development of territorial communities based on automation of the processes of preparation and submission of information, spatial analysis, modeling and forecasting;
- increasing the level of digitalization of data on the classification of dangerous, destroyed, destroyed or degraded objects, phenomena, territories;
- ensuring effective interaction between state and local authorities, legal entities and individuals within the framework of using an intelligent monitoring geoinformation platform by developing and implementing relevant protocols and instructions;
- increasing the accuracy and efficiency of detecting and classifying dangerous, destroyed, destroyed or degraded objects, phenomena, territories as a result of choosing the optimal set of algorithms and artificial intelligence systems;
- determining directions for further development of information and reference functionality, analytical and modeling capabilities of the platform based on the results of the implementation of the VIMGIP pilot project, providing scientific and technical support, and collecting complaints;
- improving the qualifications of local government officials and increasing human capital by introducing innovative intellectual systems into the daily activities of territorial communities, creating an information support system for VIMGIP users;
- developing the resources of the National Infrastructure of Geospatial Data and Geospatial Services .
